I can't help but laugh. New Cab Day.
I posted a new cab day 2 days or so ago. Well, out with the old and in with the new. I bit the bullet. This thing is a monster.

I haven't had a ton of time with it, but so far its "better" than the orange cab was. Granted I didn't have an orange 4x12, but still. This cab has hot 100's as opposed to v30's. They just seem more...full. Strong. The orange felt more directional. It's hard to describe. You know what a wall of sound is like? ok. You know what a surrounding, room filling sound is? ok. It's like both of those combined.
To be honest, its messing up my playing a little. When I had the Rocker 30 and the open back 2x12 my playing was different. The AD140 with this cab almost makes me feel like I'm playing naked. It's super natural, and every small nuisance of my playing is available to hear. I'm no sloppy player either. This thing is making me even less of one!

That's a freaking great setup you've got there. I'm not sure which thing to be most jealous of now that I've seen that Jazz Bass .

Haha. that there is the best play jazz I have ever touched. I have had a ton of high end basses, and nothing beats out how comfortable and fat that thing feels. Ill post some good pics of that one day for you, haha.

For the sake of my wallet, you probably shouldn't post any more pics of the Jazz Bass. I've somehow managed to resist buying a J-Bass up to this point, though I've ended up with three P-Basses somehow.Santucci218 wrote:Haha. that there is the best play jazz I have ever touched. I was never much a P bass guy, but I was obsessed with Jaco for a long time, haha. I had a GK setup for a while. Ditched that and got Markbass. Ditched that and went all Ampeg. Loving that fat rock tone. This jazz bass seriously puts active basses to shame, haha. One band practice I forgot my bass and had to use an Ibanez SR series. I almost threw up! The tone of my bass is really warm and fat. Sits so well in the mix with the 8x10. Next bass for me is a Gibson Ripper!Randy Bass wrote:For the sake of my wallet, you probably shouldn't post any more pics of the Jazz Bass. Awesome! That amp/cab setup is like my dream setup if I needed a 412 and 140 watt amp.
