It's hard to get any two sets of tubes that sound the same, much less a whole amp.

It's much easier to get two identically worded thread posts than it would be to get amps identical.
Like yossarian83 mentioned, the tubes in amp A could have a different variance to the tubes in amp B. Then you have the component level of variance of each electric component in each amp.
Whether it's a discernible difference sound wise only your ears can be the judge. As far as the tubes you could just double up matching sets for both DkTs and get much closer.

Most definitely. With any analog gear there can always be differences from one piece to another. They are just inherently "imperfect". As amps age the differences can get even more apparent. When plugin manufacturers design plugins based off cool vintage studio gear, they'll often got to famous engineers' studios to demo multiple examples of the same model of gear to find the "magic" one that has the best sound.
This isn't even taking into account tube differences and even different sounds from the exact same brand of tube sounding different.

Your listening space and your place in it has a large impact on the sound... Much more than you think.

Is it possible to get different responses to identical threads?

No need to apologize for that. Chinese manufacturing has come a long way in the last few years.SkullCrusher wrote:i apologise for the double thread
