Any reason why? Does it not go well with Orange? If so, what alternative would you recommend?

Multi avatar trolling teenager constantly going on about it.

Kept us somewhat entertained for a while. Oh, the good old MID HUMP days...

Never tried one. But will forever smile and think mid hump when anyone will mention it. Eh, eh, eh...

That pedal has a legendary status around here so you'll have a hard time getting a serious reply..haha. It basically does what a tubescreamer does, it's a cheaper pedal that some say sounds as good as a tubescreamer, never tried one myself. Opinions are divided on whether these types of pedals sound good with Orange amps.

Since you seem to like a tighter sounding amp, it would be a cheap way to try one out to see if you like it. When I first got my Tiny Terror a few years ago, I liked it with a tubescreamer at first cause I was used to a Peavey 5150 which is a very tight amp. But as time went on I grew to like the amp's natural tone more and ditched the pedal.

let's just say a certain forumite with multiple personality disorder, small dog disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder, and possibly schizophrenia stumbled upon it and we will never forget it

in all seriousness, it's a good pedal. i personally think it (or other tubescreamer clones, for that matter) is a good match for orange. all tubescreamers do is add mids. lots and lots of it. which is perfect if your amp is naturally scooped, like a fender. its not so perfect if your amp already has a ton of midrange--like an orange. most times with orange, tubescreamer type pedals are used by metal kids who thinks it does something "magic" for their sound. what they don't know is turning their mids up yields some of the same "magic"

I wasn't sure what midhump meant so i googled it.. but for some reason i don't think this is what the forumites had in mind.. ;)
