Man, this makes me sad. I cant name one song, but I remember swiping my moms Thriller tape and listening to it like a million times. I think that was the beginning of me really getting into music.

As a side note, I had nightmares from the Thriller video for weeks...but then I suppose a kid having nightmares about MJ is normal...

Wow, I just realized you had posted this before me! Crazy! I remember that my older brother made me a tape of the album copied from his vinyl copy. I also remember he had Iron Maiden records and the album covers scared the crap out of me.

Whe I was a little kid, maybe 3-4 I had a little record player and a 45rpm with "American Pie" by Don Mclean on it. You had to flip the thing over to hear the second half of the song. I listened to it so much that it wore the grooves out on the record so that it skipped constantly.

Iron Man - Black Sabbath

I'd played bass for a little bit when I was between 10-12 yrs old and when I heard that song I knew I had to learn guitar. I remembered learning it and playing it over and over and over again. I can't believe my parents could stand it.

As a side note my Aunty bought me David Souls 'Silver Lady' single when it was in the charts over here because she knew I liked Starsky and Hutch. To this day I still haven't forgiven her

First cassette I ever purchased in 1984. It's still pretty bad-a$$ IMO.
