NAD!!!!!
Finally got the deal done... (very well) used Orange AD30... (with similarly abused flight case)
first preview pics taken with my phone after loading it in the trunk:
used and abused, but I did fine on the deal. won't have a chance to play it until monday most likely (maybe sunday afternoon, but I've already logged over an hour on it at the store and it sounds GREAT!
more pics and video later!

Re: NAD!!!!!
Sweet. This is the one you were asking about retolexing? It doesn't look THAT bad. I can't tell if it's faded a bit in areas or if it's just the photo. But I bet a lot of that grime will clean up with some simple green or something and it'll look MUCH nicer. Someone will be along to tell you how to do that. I know you don't want to get the tolex too wet.
The knobs can be had on eBay. I can't remember the cost but there's a couple guys selling them.

Re: NAD!!!!!
I think it looks pretty good with some honest wear like that. A bit of cleaning might bring the tolex back most of the way though, but I'd avoid using any chemicals that might break down the glue adhering the tolex to the cab. I'd get replacement knobs from http://www.orangeamps.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;.

Sweet, congrats on the new amp! I agree with the others that I'd probably just replace the knobs that are missing and wipe off whatever grime comes off with a cloth. The rest is good enough that it just looks used in a good kinda way.

Yeah I was expecting it to look like somebody had taken a cheese grater to it or something. Just a little dirt.

Re: NAD!!!!!
That doesn't look bad at all really. I'd just give it a good cleaning and get some new knobs and rock it.

Re: NAD!!!!!
That's what you call abused??????
C'mon; that's just mild honest wear!!!!!
Great it got you an excellent deal though!
For the blackening, if you REALLY want to try and clean it up, i'd try gently rubbing with a cloth and some lighter fluid - away froom any flames or sparks obviously.
If that doesn't clean it up, you'll know you'll have a hard time getting rid of it.
Congrats!!!!!!

Re: NAD!!!!!
How much are replacement knobs via Orange anyhow? Good info to know, just in case.
EDIT - nevermind they're on the Orange site. Cheaper than I thought they would be and cheaper than the bay! http://www.orangeamps.com/usa-shop/cate ... category=9" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
