Have you tried the version 3? Ive always liked the Deville, but this newer version is definitely an improvement...probably helps that the store put new tubes in too.Les Paul Lover wrote:Congrats there!
Them deville are a bit of an enigma to me - i never really like them when i try them personnaly, but have seen bands using them to great effect, so i know they can sound nice. Just not in my hands!!!

Don't get me wrong, i know it's got excellent cleans and is a good amp. Just one of them things. Got the same problem with mesas, and telecasters to some extent.
I like music made with them, but not much playing them myself - i don't really underdtand it!
