Rockerverb Limited Edition. WOOOOOOW

Post by BaBaBooey » Sat Nov 19, 2011 4:08 am

I got my Union Jack Rockerverb earlier this week. I'll i gotta say is it looks amazing. Seriously. Some might think it might be gaudy, but it looks sooooo nice in person. This had to have taken days to do the tolex job... The attention to detail is like nothing I've ever seen.

I think i have number 5... That is if 00000005 means what i think. This gal was brand new, not anymore, haha.

Oh me, oh my... She breathes fire. Got her for a 3rd of the price. It was like getting the deal of a lifetime at the Bunny Ranch or something. I'd put up some pics if enough of y'all wanna see.

Until we see pics, we all know it's a bugera with a sh*tty union jack sticker. And the sticker's been put wonky.

Congrats and I'm pleased your stoked with your new amp.
For me, it's 15 years too late. Noel ripping it in a "don't look back in anger" vid or at knebworth would have been cool. But today, it's tacky.

No offense.

It's funny, Noel Gallagher was the first thing that sprung to my mind when I saw these amps too! It's certainly got that 90s brit pop vibe.

To be honest, as a UK citizen who isn't exactly proud of my country's recent history I've always steered clear of anything with union jacks all over it... I do find it quite amusing when we travel in Europe and see that in some places it seems to be 'cool' to wear union jack t-shirts, etc... perhaps it seems romantic and interesting if you're not actually from the UK ;)

The looks aren't that important one way or the other really. The Union Jack cabs sound much better than the standard orange ones because the tolex cancels out most of the Bi-Radial Grain Resonance inherent to Birch plywood.

shes been making love to Noel since she got here.

Yeah, it came from eBay... from Sweetwater

It came out to be cheaper than the price of a regular RK MKII and 2x12, actually, around the price of just a head.

The tolex work does look impressive up close. I'm digging the Supernova too, although I am a member of Oasis Listeners Anonymous...

You guys are dumb. That sh!t looks cool. Now if it had the US confederate flag I'd say you are a redneck...

Nice amp. Makes me think if The Who or The Jam. I have no idea if they ever actually used stuff with the flag on it, but it's very "mod" looking to me.

I'm actually a Redneck with British roots... I fuckin love Paul Weller. My Jerry Cantrell Rampage has Bettie Page and MOD targets rather than his blond chick and checker boards.

You ain't gonna like the General Lee Edition Peavey half-stack I'm puttin' together. It's gonna be great for my new Skynyrd cover band, Van Xanax.
