Delay with BPM?

Post by tony_m_1234 » Thu Oct 20, 2011 4:51 pm

Does it exist? Does anyone know of a good delay pedal that you can input the actual BPM of a song but isn't too big and confusing. I know there are some like the dd-20 which I think you can dial in a specific BPM but they are too cumbersome and complicated. Anything a big more simple?

I thought the Digitech Time Bender had one but it says "BPM or Millisecond delay read out". It sounds like you want to input the number manually. It may do what you want but I'm not sure.

The TC Nova Delay definitely can. It's a great pedal.

there's actually a few...

DD20
Nova Delay
Eventide TimeFactor
Strymon Timeline

of all those, i would most reccomend the Timline. just watch demos....you'll see what i mean.

but, if you're going for simplicity, i think the Nova Delay would get you there quicker.

I'm beginning to suspect you have a Strymon sponsorship!
But I agree - that Timeline does look pretty nuts!

just noticed the line 6 m5 does, which would suggest the m9 and m13 do too... not just a delay either!

Yes, I have the M9 and used to have the M13. Love the delays on it. Probably my fav feature. The rest of the stuff is pretty good too, as long as you don't expect an exact copy of the models they do.

Does anyone know a good drummer that you can input the BPM into? Does TC Electronics make one of these yet?

Ha ha ha! Like the joke 'what's the difference between a drummer and a drum machine?'

'You only have to punch the tempo into the machine once...'
