100% Rockerverb 50 Mark I content...

Here we go again with paradise city! We did the whole thing ourselves this time (not playing to the original track like last time). No effects on the guitars or bass, except for a bit of eq on the lead guitar to get it to cut through better. All on my RV50C mark I. Drums were recorded with 8 mics and the guitars were done with an SM57 (what else!). You probably already recognize my drummer Matthias Vallet from the last vid I posted:

Be sure to watch in full HD for the best quality. I'd also like to mention that I normally have a thicker sound and use less distortion, but this time I was trying to emulate the Appetite sound a bit.

It sounds good - it's funny you had to "downgrade" the tone from the RV50 slightly to sound more like the original. Slash needs to try an Orange already.

The speakers are just the V30s that came with the amp...bear in mind I've been playing the crap out of them for about 6 years now for over 6-7 hours a day, six days a week so they are well "soft" by now. We need a bass player before we can go on tour...and a singer....and another guitarist...and keys....

Are those the stock pups in that SG? Are you running any pedals? That Rockerverb sounds waaay more gainey than my Rocker 30, in a gooood way I have a 92 SG Standard as well, gotta run a pedal to get close to that tone. Great job, BTW!
