Rockerverb 100 MKII and PPC212

Post by Teaboy » Wed Sep 07, 2011 12:33 pm

I've just ordered a Rockerverb 100 MKII and I went for the closed back PPC212 to go with it. It's going to take a while before I receive it, so I'm looking at getting any accessories I'll need.

This is my first separate amp and cabinet so I have no idea how to connect them. I'm assuming I need a speaker cable of some description and not a guitar cable. What's the difference? Is there any particular brand that I should be looking at?

It is very important that you get a proper speaker cable (unshielded) and not an instrument cable (shielded). The brand doesn't matter that much, though I would get something other than the cheapest available. You will probably want a cable between 3-6 feet in length for that setup. Longer speaker cables can actually be a problem for the amp if they are coiled up while the amp is in use.

yes, 3 feet should be fine. get something decent. i have a livewire, which isn't the most expensive around, but it's decent and it has a lifetime warranty so if i ever need a new one, i'm all set.
