OT: I have everything...

Post by Wendigo » Sun Sep 04, 2011 11:39 pm

This is way off topic, but I was just sitting here thinking of my past mistakes and my tendency to dwell in the past, when it occured to me: I have everything that anybody could want. I have a really great wife, a beautiful baby, and a nice home. I also work as a guitarist and teacher. I'll never be rich but I sure am thankful for what I have and I need to try and appreciate it more and not get caught up too in everyday life and stress.

Feel the same way, only thing that really bothers me is someone keeps taking my lottery winnings every week, I've got serious gear to buy and I can't do it without that cash

Yeah, that sounds great, but until they find a way to clone dinosaurs, I'll never be as content as you :(

Good post. I used to spend a lot of time on this forum lusting after crap I didn't need because I had the money, but when you lose your job and live tightly, you realize what's actually important. A delay pedal that sounds slightly different than the one I currently have (and only I would notice the difference) is not what's important. You leave this world with none of this crap. The things that money can't buy are much more important.

Good words with truth.

Don't worry about nothing till it happens. Then don't worry just say sod it and deal with it.
I don't own alot but can afford alot. I spend 90% of my money on my son going places and seeing things. That makes me more happy than owning a tv50 and 2 ppc412's.
Wish I could have that stack tho but we could go euro Disney with that money!
Tone is everything

Good words, and wise. I've always been a little this way; when my girlfriend was killed last year it really hammered it home. I've said it before on this forum: the only thing important in life is the people you love - everything else is just stuff and/or noise.

A great outlook, one that we need to be reminded off from time to time.

I had to remind my wife about it when the cat decided to defecate all over my favorite chair. She was so upset, and I had to remind her that it's just a thing and it can be replaced. The cat and her cannot.

I am guessing that the cat is either very old, very sick, or it just plain doesn't like you :D .

2 out of 3.

Hes 7. Young for a cat. He does not like me. but he is sick.

Believe it or not, he has separation anxiety. He will sit there and meow at the door after my wife leaves for 10 minutes straight. And its a hideousness "don't leave me, I'll do better" crying meow. Its really annoying.
