What are your favorite Rockumentaries?

Muscle Shoals. The soundtrack was just nominated for an Emmy or Grammy or something. Great movie about the musicians (Muscle Shoals has got the Swampers...) and the studios.

Between Sound City and Muscle Shoals I think 75% of the music I grew up with was recorded at these two (three actually) places!

Oh, and the Sugar Man movie was really awesome!

I thought Sound City was an amazing movie. I'll have to check out Muscle Shoals.

Also for fans of Dave Grohl/Foo Fighters/Nirvana, check out "Foo Fighters: Back and Forth." Great movie.

Throw Down Your Heart is an awesome documentary. Not rock, but it follows Bela Fleck bringing the banjo back to its roots in Africa. Amazing music and well put together film. Definitely worth watching.

Just watched "Beware Mr. Baker". Huge fan of Clapton so I thought I'd give it a go on Netflix. Best new one I've seen in a while.

Okay, so not a "Rockumentary" but deals with rock music in a way... "20 Feet From Stardom" is a really good doc about background singers (many highlighted in the film sang behind the Stones, Clapton, Bowie etc. ).
