saw this video on their facebook page, looks like the guitarist might be using orange now? i know he used to use a sunn through emperor cabs, but that looks like an orange stack to me. nice to see a great band using some great amps

Awesome band. I've probably seen them live upwards of 20 times.
I might be wrong because it looks very weird, but I believe mike is actually playing the the Sunn rig behind the bass player. Don't know why it would be set up that way but that definitely looks like his setup with 2 model T's through 2 emperor cabs. You can see that its mic'ed up, but I believe Brian is playing the ampeg bass rig. My guess is they're playing a festival and the Orange is another band's gear. I would be surprised to hear mike give up his Sunn's for any other amp.

They've been ripping Orange for most of this year: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L-IbvcKx ... re=related" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Holy smokes, guess I was wrong! Those gotta be model T's behind Brian, tho. I guess he could be using them for bass along with the ampeg. Two of them would almost certainly have enough power. They haven't played at home here in Chicago much this year, so I guess I was out of the loop.
Alex, any idea what head(s) he's using there? RV100? TV200?

not sure about that video but they were using rockerverbs when they were on tour with these arms are snakes (it was their gear). they said it was too expensive to bring their own gear

He was hugely influenced by Purdy, and assimilated that style in a rock setting.Borderline Productions wrote:Those look like Rockerverbs in the video. Great drummer. He plays same style my son does.
Or so I've heard, I don't know much about drumming.

My son was most influenced by Portnoy, who was influenced by Peart.
