AD140B #15
Hi, I'm a lucky owner of Orange AD140B, serial #15. I think there's no need to write anything about this amp on this forum I'm thinking about selling it, I fell in love with hiwatts and a vintage DR201 with four KT88 is my dream that come true. How much should I ask for this amp? Where to sell it (no ebay because of the fees)?
Here are some pictures (mobile phone camera quality):

Wow, that is a great example of an AD140B. I would check around eBay for similar items in past auctions, I know that some of the AD140B's have traded across there. We can't discuss pricing on the forum, but I can tell you that there was a user on here several years ago, macahan, who sold his custom shop Orange on eBay. I just can't recall if it was a AD200B Mk1 or an AD140B. I think he might have had both and sold one or both. If you do a search for his name you might find something.

It was either macahan or peter6toy. Neither of them have posted here for ages but they both had hand wired bass heads.

You might get around $1800 if you are patient. This is just a guess but is based out of a similar situation I went through (can't go much more into it due to forum rules).

Re: AD140B #15
you could always try a forum, like the Gear Page or TalkBass. i'd imagine you'd get a pretty nice price, too.

thanks for your replies. for information, I'm from Slovakia (EU), so I expect higher price than 1800$ (in USA you have everything cheaper! ). I don't hurry with selling, and if I don't get a good price I rather keep it.
Re: AD140B #15
illegal? according to this topic: viewtopic.php?f=2&t=32707&hilit=AD140B I thought it's OK...
Re: AD140B #15
Pretty sure everyone is in the clear on this topic because the AD140B is not in production any more.

That amp is worth approximately what you could fill it with quarters.

Hi,
I'm interested in your AD140B bass head. Is it still for sale?
I'm from Italy, but I travel pretty often to Vienna and Budapest, so it would not be a problem to come to Bratislava
Thanks,
Alessandro
