Question about 1 x12 cabs

I was thinking of adding a orange 1x12 cab to go with my rocker 30 combo.
Anyone done this? How did you find it helped your sound?
Also does anyone know if they all have the big orange logo it would really piss me off if I sunk a chunk of monies into one if it didn't match also are the dimensions the same.

The PPC-112 and Rocker 30 combo are the same size. The newer PPC-112 cabs have a two-piece (3D) logo, though I think it may be a bit smaller than that of the R30. Orange did stop using the silly little one-piece screenprinted badges found on early PRC cabs though (after I bought one ).

I use a 1 x 12 Cab underneath my Rocker - works well although I use it this way primarily as it gives the impression of a mini stack, it looks good and lifts the Rocker off the floor so I can hear it better and use the controls easier. Both my Rocker and Cab are about 4 years old and the moniker on the Cab is about half the size of the moniker on the Rocker - this makes no difference and no one will ever notice it. Have a look at my signature pic below to get an idea of how they look..(I know obscured by my legs!)

If you are buying online it will be a gamble. There might be a difference in color too btw.

Sounds great and completely filled out my sound. With the closed back cab on the bottom and the open back of the rocker30 on top I find it fills out my sound nicely.

Not sure about the logo question, as you can tell in my sig pic they are different. To be honest, you really don't notice at all unless you are looking for it sort of thing, kind of like having a scratch on the wall of your house, ya you notice it when you look at it, but realistically no one else does. So don't let it effect your choice.

But it does look really nice behind you on stage with the mini stack.

Makes the sound bigger and as ronnie says lifts the controls to a comfortable height.

But here is what might happen cosmetically......(my set up with the Rocker on top and, obviously!, a TT)

Both the tolex color and badge issue should have been sorted on PRC models starting in 2010. However, some dealers still have old stock that may be from before then. If you have a local Orange dealer, buying from them is the best way to make sure that you know exactly what you are getting.

Having said that, it doesn't really bother me any more.

You can't see the tolex and cloth mismatches under stage lighting, and the sounds speak for themselves
