tame impala are pretty well known here in Oz...

as for Clutch - I had never heard of them until three years ago when i posted up our demo on a couple of forums and people said we must be influenced by Clucth... I'm like 'wtf?"

then i listened and was like LMFAO...

we use keyboards better than Clutch though ;)

misterfolkertsma wrote:Yeah, Hot Snakes are awesome! One of my favorite bands ever!

I would love to hear some recommendations for someone that loves bands like; Fugazi, The Jesus Lizard, Hot Snakes, Jon Spencer Blues Explosion, Mission of Burma, Deerhoof, The Smiths, Motorpsycho...

I'm quite young, so some 'classics' are welcome too.
check out my friends band called metz. noisy, jesus lizard'ish style.

I like what I heard on youtube! Vocals could have been a bit less screamo, but I dig it.
myboss57 wrote:Dude, check out Twelve Hour Turn. Very good 90s screamo from Gainesville, Fla. Also, there's a French punk band called 12XU who are great. And some of the guys from that band have another band called Daitro - effing great! If you like Fugazi, you may like the above the mentioned...I know the people in the bands I mentioned were Fugazi influenced.
THT sounds awesome, thanks for sharing! Youtube doesn't have a whole lot on them, but I'm definitely going to look for more on those guys. Checking out the other bands you mentioned right now...

Yeah, they were on No Idea Records so you can buy cds/records there if in stock. Otherwise, googling them and the word "mediafire" will get you hooked up with some tunes!
