I've owned the Rebel 20 and 30. OK but I wasn't in love with them.

I used to have more Orange stuff. Now I just have a PPC412 (black), and a Micro Crush.

Re: Egnater
Meh.
I tried one at Guitar Center and I couldn't get any good tones out of it. Before I tried it out, I was considering getting a Rebel 30 over a DT because the Rebel had many more features. My opinion changed when I tried it out next to a Tiny Terror. The TT blew it away. I got my DT a few weeks later. I guess tone matters more than features. I don't recommend getting one. The Carvin V3M is a much better amp for features (There is a switch on the back that changes the color of the LEDs on the front), and has better tone the Rebel 20 or 30.

I owned a Tweaker for a few months and liked it quite a lot. There was just something missing so I tried the AD30 and fell in love.

I owned a Tweaker for a few months too. I found that the dirty channel (where I spent most of my time) was quite dark. I really enjoyed it when I got it but as the honeymoon wore off it always seemed muddy and indistinct, especially when I played it before/after my Randall RM50 which was much clearer and brighter.
I sold it to fund my Rocker 30 and I could not be happier. The Rocker is slightly dark too but its not muddy and it is so damn ballsy. Now I have two amps that both sound great (to me) but have different tonalities rather than having one amp that was clearly superior to the other.

Re: Egnater
I had a Rebel 20 for probably 3 years and I thought it was a great amp! Great power tube dirt tones and you could dial in a pleasant clean kind of like a good, on the verge of breakup blues clean. It doesn't have the power to do sparkly clean and the overall voicing is somewhat dark. I really liked a lot of things about that amp.
Unfortunately I sold it locally to fund a Rebel 30. Really great cleans but I could not get along with the drive channel. It had a pretty different voice than the R20, which to me was it's downfall. So as of now I don't have an Egnater.
I am curious about the Tweaker 40 and 88 though. I played through a Tweaker 15 briefly and it was decent. I know for what I would like with the Tweaker line though (pretty loud cleans) it wouldn't have enough power.

Re: Egnater
I had a Rebel 20 for awhile when I had to sell my first RV and I actually really liked it. I found it really complemented single coil guitars though and didn't do as well with buckers. It also didn't have enough gain on tap for me and having only one channel drove me nuts...it just lead to me wanting an RV back even more.
Id take one over a TT though any day. Way more versatile.

Re: Egnater
depends which one... the savage and blackmore are not garbage... the gigmaster isn't to bad either but, the rest are very sterile, compressed and processed sounding whereas the savage, blackmore and gigmaster are more natural and open sounding but, still tight and aggressive sounding which is why i'm going to get a blackmore and maybe a gigmaster for bedroom practiceGuitaristZ0S0 wrote:Complete garbage
