I would give a kidney...

Post by nerd » Sun Jun 26, 2011 2:24 am

To have this exact guitar and play like this guy.

Please mute the first 30 seconds or so because the intro song really sucks.

He's pretty much doing the same thing over and over again. Boring.

I used to have more Orange stuff. Now I just have a PPC412 (black), and a Micro Crush.

And if I ever meet a guy who talks like that, well, I'll wish I hadn't.

Ok, you don't find his skills or style intersting, fair enough. I personally love them.

That guitar is freaking awesome. I like the guy's style for the most part and he's pretty talented. He's a crapload better than I am at least. He does a good job of demonstrating the capabilities of the pickups, which is the most important part of a guitar demo to me. I might have preferred a bit less personality, but he's having a lot of fun playing amazing gear. I'll bet that LP reeks of weed now though :D .

Aww, man, what's wrong with The Drills?

But yeah man that guitar sounds incredible. Especially with a little Tone Master crunch.

Yeah I'm a big Phil x fan, he was chosen as a replacement for richie sambora on the Bon jovi tour while RS was getting treatment for substance abuse. Apparently RS has recovered so bye bye phil x. Shame really, would have been a great boost for his career.

Cheers

Hot for teacher: clean neck vs hot bridge is amazingly different, almost like 2 different amps. Makes you think all you need is a good single channel amp, a boost, and somehow get to play with the power section's saturation.
Also, P90's rule.

The licks he plays in the 1st clip are the way I would like to play. I can do some of that stuff but I can't do it that well. I wish I could though.

This guy is really talented. He is a great player. I've seen many of his videos. He is just noodling in this video and not trying to impress, just show you some sounds....and that is exactly what he does.

I liked the SG standard video. That guitar sounded great to me.
Here it is: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z3NKTKBK ... re=related" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

check out 0:49 to 0:53..........this guy is just high on life

there is another SG video too where he plays some Cream, and it sounds lucious!
I can't find it at the moment...but, he is a lot more reserved in it. The later the video post date is the crazier this guy is. Even if he is annoying to some, I wish I could be this happy all the time. Life would be fun, even if only for myself.

EDIT: here is the Cream video; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qBgUrUD4 ... re=related" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; ........well, heck, that is not the video....the one I'm referring to is much longer, but there are really starting to be a lot of videos by this guy, so its hard to find them all, but you get the idea.

You dont need to give a kidney, just take lessons from me for 5 months or so and I'll have you playing better than him.

I'd love a lesson or three from you. Is it possible to do lessons, not in person? Maybe like some exercises to work on my inabilities?
