Just so we're clear, most G-string problems can be resolved with baby powder. I've heard people suggest things like lubricating nuts with graphite, top-wrapping :?: , and even nut replacement  . What the heck is that all about?

After more than 20 years of tuning and dealing with guitars, I have come to the following conclusion:

Damn I hate guitars.

Is it because they produce mid-humps?

Need a nut file that is the correct size. I would take it and get a good setup if I were you. It'll probably play better anyway.

Too bad guitars are such a vital component in playing guitar.
Orange should invent a new instrument.
