How Does the 4x12 compare to the 2x12

I just ordered a Orange 2x12 cab. How does the sound of the 2x12 differ from the 4x12. Has anyone ever compared them side by side?

Hi,

I heard, it sounds nearly the same.
I guess, that it is not as strong as the 4*12,
so you won't feel so much of your power

Hiho ... i use a 212PPC... because its much easier to carry around, it sounds the same to me (o.k. a little less Bass Preassure...) tha cab is as loud as my old ENGL 4x12 (sold because the Orange sounded better!).. i prefer 2x12 cabs since this cab (bought a fender and a Musicman)... for normal jobs its enough, you will hear yourself everywhere on the stage...

Why is an ORANGE, orange? If it would be Green it would be an apple....

I received my 2x12 in the mail last month. It sounds great. It still nice and big sounding, but won't break your back. The 4x12 sounds a bit bigger with the 2 extra speakers.
