Wow, lots of good ideas here.
Do the Apex switches work just like the Orange; two 1/4" inputs, no power required, LED lights when amp is turned on?
jamison162, does your switch work this way as well?
Thanks for all your suggestions?

Re: Failed Orange Footswitches???
Mine has a single stereo 1/4" jack. I made a cable out of Canare XLR (Star Quad) to carry both signals to the amp. A single 1/4" TRS plugs in the footswitch and the cable splits at the amp end to 2 x 1/4" mono plugs.rclangelan wrote:jamison162, does your switch work this way as well?

Re: Failed Orange Footswitches???
If you like the housing and have no problems with its size, the cheap way would be to just buy a new switch for $3-$5 and solder it in there. I'm not 100% sure of the pin spacing of the factory PC board, but I bet you could make either of the DPDT latching stomps on this page work:

PS- the circuit doesn't require a DPDT, an SPDT or SPST will suffice if you can find one cheaper and you're not planning to use the existing circuit board. Just make sure it's latching.

In the FS-1 project, can the resistor be deleted?
Re: Failed Orange Footswitches???
If you don't want an LED, yes. I replied to your post in the technical forum with more info.rokdad wrote:In the FS-1 project, can the resistor be deleted?
