Anyone ever listen to the band "HUM"?
I liked them quite a bit .... they used Oranges. Don't know what happened to them.... the major label disappearing act trend or something. I'd be interested if anyone has any new recordings by them.

Matt Talbott lives near Champaign Illinois and runs a recording studio called Great Western Recorders. They still plays shows occasionally. I saw them last summer here in Chicago.

Ah yes, I have had the pleasure of seeing centaur live twice, but unfortunately never HUM. I would at least like to see a new Centaur album, I think they only released one, In Streams.
I'm sure they've been talked about before on the forum, but if you like HUM you should check out Shiner, who are defunct. I saw them live 13 times and were incredible every time. Their second guitarist played the first Orange I ever saw and I was attracted to the sound immediately. He still rocks Orange as the bass player in Every Time I Die.
The vocalist/guitarist from Shiner is currently in The Life and Times. He bi-amps a Vox AC30 and a Hiwatt Custom 100. They've worked with Matt Talbot quite a bit. Swirly loud gorgeous indie rock. Can't count how many times I've seen them live. Check them out!

They are one of those bands that I'll listen to for a while and then forget about them. Then a year later I'll remember them and start listening again.
Love their stuff.
