How is a big muff tone wicker with a rockereverb 100?
I love the gain on my rockerverb. But im wanting a fuzz just to play with and add a different flavor to some songs. How does the rockerverbs take big muffs? also looking into way huge swollen pickle pedal.
I play stoner doom stuff, but also play allot of classic rock which is why i have a orange they slay at classic tones.

Considering your name.. suss this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PIIfpsWr3-Y" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
SO great. Too bad they were a limited run.
I had a big muff with tone wicker, was pretty cool and good for the price. Check out the Musket Fuzz from blackouteffectors. Its better

Nice slant 4x12. You're the first person I've seen on here (that I immediately recall) that has one. If I were to get an Orange 4x12 it'd most likely be a slant one too!Pete27 wrote:Considering your name.. suss this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PIIfpsWr3-Y" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

If your looking for a fuzz that sounds really different, try a Fender Blender. Reasonable price on them. It's a Fuzz with Octave up. They were only made by Fender for a short period back in the early 70's and they started re-issuing them because they were highly sought after. Very different then any other fuzz. The BLEND knob lets you control how much of the effect is mixed with the signal. Billy Corgan was or is a big user of them. I had a Big Muff......nothing special in my opinion.

Lot of good fuzz pedals out there. Unfortunately, I have yet to find one that works good on the RV50. I've tried:
Big Muff
Trifecta
Fuzzfaceless
Sbu Decay Flying Tomato
Dunlop Jimi Hendrix Fuzz
The Trifecta was probably the best.

Fuzz pedals and Rockerverbs hate each other in my experience.
Really the biggest letdown about these amps is how they take pedals, even on the "clean" channel.

I owned a Swollen Pickle but sold it because it was to damn heavy, which is cool for about an hour...
I use a Big Muff Pi right now, don't know if they are going to work wit the RV though

Dave666 - your sig pic needs to be bigger, i cant quite make out what the photo is!
If you want an octave function with fuzz i'd go Death By Audio - Octave Clang.

Yea i have been wanting a Fuzz War for over a year. I should prob wait untill i can get my hands on one of those. Im just hoping the orange takes to a fuzz. I also wish these amps took to pedals better. Then id be so happy because Orange is the ultimate amp for me tone wise. I just like to mess around with pedals which oranges dont like and that sucks. I also want a musket fuzz they sound like heaven with full out fuzz!

Yep, it was indeed a little on the large side...Icarus wrote:Dave666 - your sig pic needs to be bigger, i cant quite make out what the photo is!

I changed it now...
Sorry for the thread-hijack!!!
Good luck on the fuzz search!!!
IMO searching for a good Fuzz is more challenging than searching for a decent OD-pedal. You have so many Fuzz-pedals out there and so many types of fuzzes...

To be honest I've only used the Fuzz War with the Rocker 30. I'll give the RV50 a work out with it and get back to you.

I have the combo and the head and they take everything but dirt well IMO. I'm running an MXR EVH Phaser, MXR EVH Flanger, MXR Chorus, Vox Wah, Octron, MXR Carbon Copy Delay, and a Bad Bob boost. Did I mention that they do take boost pedals very well?
