Make a suggestion on a pedal...quick

Post by Jondog » Sun May 29, 2011 3:21 am

I'm itching to spend a $100 on a pedal, just don't know what. Make a suggestion and why, hurry before I convince myself not to.

Try an Ebow. They're pretty cool.

It's green and made by Digitech and it mid-humps everything.

Went with this, more then $100, but I've been wanting one ever since I used the simulation on Amplitube.

Also try the Roland Funny Cat...

Weirdest effects pedal ever.

It sounds like a feline that has huffed a spray can of Rust-Oleum and downed a bottle of Jäger—and is being whipped. Kind of a fuzz/envelope-follower combination.

I will be very interested to hear what you think of the Blender. I was disappointed when I got mine because it seems to erase all the mids no matter how it is adjusted. It made me wonder if mine is defective. It is otherwise very well-designed and solid. The hinged aluminum enclosure really is the coolest thing about it.

I had a big muff, once...didn't do it for me, I think it's a classic tone but not my tone.

Picked it up yesterday. Loving it so far! Very versatile with the tone boost switch and the blend knob. Can dial in some really cool tones and use the blend knob to get the right amount of overtones or whatever. Funny thing, I was just messing around and stumbled upon the opening riff to Rocket by the smashing pumpkins totally by accident. YEARS ago I tried to figure out that tone but couldn't and finally did it totally by accident with this pedal.
