I've use Schaller straplocks for something like 14 years and never dropped a guitar and never had any wear and tear problems. And I move around quite a bit on stage! However, Apple's solution is easily the coolest so far :)

<br />Listen up folks as I'm about to give you the best possible solution to this problem...it's cheap, very effective and not ugly!
Go buy yourself 2 bottles of Grolsh Beer, the type with the re-sealable caps with the wire gadget thingy, I think it's dutch beer(?). Inside the caps you will find a perfectly formed rubber washer-seal thingy. Pull this off the ceramic cap, put your strap on your guitar and then put the rubber washer-sealer thingy over the strap button. Problem solved! I garantee your strap will never come off unless you want it too. I use this cheap solution on all my guitars and it has never failed me through hundreds of gigs! Oh, and final very important step...drink the beer! Tastes great!:D

I move to censure Shzbard for ungentlemenly gloating.

Good call. Let's slap him, or with-hold his pocket money.

I use Dunlop Straploks on almost all my guitars . I would recommend taking a Q -tip with some quality lube and cleaning/lubricating both parts of the component.

Oh and BTW the beer is spelt GROLSCH... Good call though Apple!

I also use the cheap plastic gizmos acorkos first mentioned - they work great too.

I use dimarzio straplocks. You have to take the original strapbolt off, but it's easy to install and will do it's job perfectly.
