I already own too many amps
But i love it! And i use every amp in the studio !!!
Love it to create different patterns that way, you just don't need any distortion pedals that way.
A lot of people would think i'm having an amp hording syndrome. That's also true but...
I mixed a Matamp GT1 with a Twin, and a Rocker30 with a GT1 and so on...
It just works! I think i can CREATE everything with all that options that i have.
But i also have enough spare amps for live gigs for second guitarist.
He can chose from my amps like a wall of guitars now lol
But: I only have one guitar, guess what i'm more into amps

i want to start an audio experimentation foundation. like get 1000 twins (or TV200s!!!) lined up in a giant field, all wired to one guitar through a fancy rig, and record it. or every amp at orange HQ.
or have tens of thousands of guitar playes hit chords at the same time and see if we could hear it from space. coordination would be terrible, so maybe combine it with the first idea and have a delay setup so that a global amp array fires at once.
or send out riffs through the big SETTI arrays.
or riff through naval sonar arrays and record it at the AUTEC range.
or a solar powered amp.
or cover a skyscraper with speakers.
anyone got funding?

Re: I already own too many amps
Two amps that always get used. I A/B between them. My TT with a Brunetti 1x12 cab and the BJr.
They do everything i need, at this moment. On the other hand there's always GAS lurking.....
Grtz, Bert.

I'm more into amps than guitars too, but I think you could probably use another guitar. Hell, go mad and get two!TESLA_EL34 wrote:I only have one guitar, guess what i'm more into amps
Fine idea. Just don't forget insurance. Preferably anti sabotage / lynch mob / war insurance. Also a good fast get away car would be a smart move.Y0UNGBL00D wrote:i want to start an audio experimentation foundation. like get 1000 twins (or TV200s!!!) lined up in a giant field, all wired to one guitar through a fancy rig, and record it. or every amp at orange HQ.

too many pedals
Re: I already own too many amps
I use pedals less & less while getting different tones from the amps themselves.
