So some of you may remember our (Nooner) CD get independant distribution into every Target in the US...we got the sales numbers today...

29803 CD sales!

That's a crap load of CDs to sell as an unsigned band! We have no idea what will happen now but hopefully that will attract the attention of a label...hopefully!

Great man! Those are 'unreal' sales for like what here is a 'normal' belgian artist, on TV and all the ****. It's not about the style, but belgium's biggest 'punkrock' thing (janez detd) sells like 6000-8000 copies, with their face all over the national music-channel for weeks ...

Good work, and keep it up!

Congrats! That's fantastic.
How did you score the Target dist deal??
What percentage did the dist agent & Target keep per disc if you don't mind me asking?
I'm in the process of dist negotiations for my new release, and it'd be great to hear those details.

It's not in there anymore...they were in the One Spot section...independant distribution = not much money...but the important thing to us is that 29K+ people have a copy and those kind of sales should turn the head of a record label.

wow...so why did you call your band Nooner...does everyone in the band wake up at noon? like to have sex at noon? there was this radio station that is around here and they play blocks of songs at noon and its called the nooner...you guys should just break up and then in like 2 years get back together for another 1 song on a compliation Cd distributed by target deal reunion...haha just kidding man, my best wishes...

Haha...Nooner as in the sex thing...

Actually....the distribution company that did the deal did it for like 20 bands....we did the best. They are releasing a compliation album next time instead of full albums with one exception...us....our CD will get pushed through Target again in 6 to 8 months.....hopefully it will be a new CD (we are recording now).

Many guitars, many amps, no talent and no girlfriend... I get the feeling they're all connected somehow...
