How about Carlos Santana, Billy Corgan, and Mike Einziger for the sequel? It could be called "It Might Get Loud, Then Quiet, Then Loud Again".

Randy is that your girl in that pic? Tell her I said I like her balcony, even if she wears the Groucho get-up.

She's no Katy Perry, but I figure it's close enough for undercover work.

Haha, that was gonna be the name of my documentary on early 90s emo music!Randy Bass wrote:How about Carlos Santana, Billy Corgan, and Mike Einziger for the sequel? It could be called "It Might Get Loud, Then Quiet, Then Loud Again".

You guys haven't seen high opinion and ego until you see the oh so famed Billy Corgan tout himself.
I'd have to pass on that documentary me thinks.

Re: Jack White and It Might Get Loud
Surely it should feature J Mascis and Joey Santiago as they pretty much invented loud/quiet/loud

David Gilmour might deserve some credit for pioneering the loud/quiet/loud format too. And Jimmy Page. And Tony Iommi. And someone before them I'm sure.

Mike Einziger, Omar R-L, Steven Malkmus.
I don't care what you call it or associate it with the first one I'd just like to see those three personalities in a room talking about music.

Oh and possibly smoking weed together that would be cool.

Re: Jack White and It Might Get Loud
Theres already a doc about the Pixies reunion tour called Loud quite Loud. Its not that good though. I was hoping for more older footage but it mainly focuses on them arguing and not getting along while on the reunion tour and then they break up again.

OK, I guess I didn't explain myself too well. Of course music existed before where there werel oud and quiet bits... what I meant was that Pixies probably pioneered loud/quiet/loud as we know it in modern alternative rock of the kind the players above (Corgan etc) peddle.Randy Bass wrote:David Gilmour might deserve some credit for pioneering the loud/quiet/loud format too. Re: Jack White and It Might Get Loud
I agree with the Pixies quite loud comments. I believe they single handedly influenced the quiet loud alternative format we think of these days. Many of the bands that do/did this gave em' credit as well. Nirvana is the best example for me that definitely took their influence.Le Chat Noir wrote:OK, I guess I didn't explain myself too well. With page, etc....I think they played more dynamically, but not with the abrupt change that the Pixies and following alternative bands used. Without the pixies, the 90's would've been different for sure.
