I use a Bad Monkey in front of my Thunderverb 200 , I really like it.
Infact I have used it in front of a number of tube amps and never been disappointed.
In front of the Thunderverb is sounds really sweet with the level jacked up to about 9 and the gain left very low at no more than 1 .

basically most overdrive pedals out there, including the bad monkey are tubescreamer clones. most distortion pedals, however are not. the SD1 is a distortion pedal. the bad monkey will only be as muddy as any other tubescreamer.

Dude, I believe the SD-1 is boss' super-overdrive, the distortion version is the DS-1.

i got it, it's simply brilliant! does exactly what i bought it to do, but even better than I thought it would be!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! it's a really underrated pedal.... I'm so happy
