New Amp Day! (kind of!) [with pictures, of course]
A while ago I bought a used, homemade POS speaker cab, and wanted to turn it into something I could use. A little elbow grease later, I've got a new stack and head cab (head cab was a bit of cheap pine).
I turned my little Carvin into a bigger beast. It's only got my one Jensen Jet Falcon speaker in it right now, but it'll someday get a GWS Reaper in it too.
Here's the cab before and after:

Thanks Andy! We'll see how much it works, I'm about to have band practice and we'll see how it sounds. Right now the back of the cab is wide open, I'm thinking about making the cab into a half open, half closed cab. This is more of an experiment than really trying to get some million dollar tone out of the speaker cab.
What I've REALLY learned is that if you want to get a nice speaker cab, get a nice speaker cab, instead of trying to polish a turd. At least this turd looks nice when it's polished.

Me too, my back definitely yells at me afterwards for slouching for hours.
