Something with one or more P.90s! Maybe this one?

1954 Les Paul Custom VOS

Having once played a '56 original, well that was a beaut!!!

Being a Gibson though I'd have to try it first. Even the Custom Shop ones can have patchy QC... :(

I love my standard faded - so would probably give a miss to those new standards, even though I really like their specs.
My Burstbucker Pro needs are already fulfilled.

It'd have to be a P90 or an Rsomething.
Whatever it'd be, it would have to be pretty exceptional for me to get another one though.

Or just really pretty and shiny.....

Guys...

I have a Gibson LP Traditional 2010...
Ebony in colour....
It is pretty heavy but I love it...

I would say...if you are considering one... don't buy without trying a few..
I spent a a good 90 minutes in the shop the day I bought mine and had spent probably about 3/4 hours trying various others (traditional / standard / studio faded) in several shops...
I actually tried a few ebony traditionals that they had in stock but only one of them "spoke to me"...

so don't rush it..!!
make sure you have no regrets..!!
I don't..!!

Call me crazy, but I'd take a Studio over the standard/traditional any day. A custom on the other hand.....

Cheers for all the replies Guys!
Much food for thought....
If there's one thing that comes across though...its how much you owners seem to love your Gibson's
But the choice available when you first start to look at LP'S is just mind boggling

I first played a friends old Les Paul about 15 years ago. A Standard I think it was...
It had the fattest, warmest biggest sound I'd ever heard into my amp and I knew right there and then that there was probably no other way of getting that sound.
Paul.

At the moment i'm currently thinking about the LP Traditional....

Its a Grade A weight relieved body with figured AA maple top (whatever that is!), 57 classic humbuckers and the finerboard is 'constructed from the highest grade rosewood on the planet' apparently :)

Any advice appreciated guys....

I've had three standards, a studio, a custom, and a supreme... Oxblood is still the one that keeps eluding me. :D

My recommendation is to look at a Standard with the asymmetrical neck. People do complain about them being not fully classic and vintage and blah blah blah, but that neck is great and the Burstbuckers are kick ass.
+1. You get used to the weight and you get a workout on stage. And the Standard sounds awesome through Orange.

The Supreme is a lot of money for cosmetics. Never played a custom, but you won't go wrong with a good Standard.

I found my Burstbucker equipped LP standard sounded great through everything but my Orange.

But this guitar was a very very dark sounding and I ended up trading it for my PRS. I'd love to hear what this PRS woulda sounded like through my old AD30...

hummm.... maybe I need an AD30 again.
