Dropping by to say hello

Post by Knuckle Bones » Fri Feb 25, 2011 5:40 am

Hey all! Just stopping by to say hello. Hope all is well with everyone. Been a while since I have shown my face around these parts. Got a solid band rolling...called Righteous Brisket (nothing religious about it) here in Austin. Getting to play the "cool kid" places so no complaints. We just got picked up as the backing band for Shellie Coe (David Allan Coe's daughter) and are booking shows into the summer. We've got two shows during SXSW next month...one of them and "official" showcase.

Breaks my heart to say it but I've gone from 4 Orange amps to just one.....but I kept the WMD of the lot.....My AD140!. Playing my Matchless DC30 mostly now though. We did a show recently that had a tasty Orange backline though....including my AD140....Check the pic.

Always fun to see you around Sir Bones, great pic there! I missed the chance to head to Austin for the summer, maybe next year.

Glad to hear the band is doing good... that is definitely one of the best band names, as well. :)

Still have the original '65 Deluxe Reverb?

We are at Headhunters on 3/13 and Opal Devine's on 3/18 during SXSW.

Yup, still have the '65 Deluxe! Kind of scared to take it out now though. It's been acting a quirky so I get nervous about reliability.

Wow, we had left you for dead! Welcome back! Any links so we can get a sample the get righteous (getting brisket on line is a little tougher)?

Just head over the facebook and search for Righteous Brisket...there will only be one. We have our songs up there to stream.

The Dan Armstrong was a whim buy...but well worth it! It's my main guitar now. Sounds awesome!

Sweet! The AD140 is a killer amp. If you had to just keep one.......

Oh yeah - people you can easily google Righteous Brisket as well - takes you right to the facebook and myspace links.

Nice stuff Aaron (Arin? - Damn if I remember now!). Wish I could make it SXSW to see you guys too - but alas - not happening this year. Good luck though. And keep us posted as to when we can get some RB songs off iTunes.

DA's are pretty amazing. Good to hear from you again and I'll have to go check out the band on fb.

A friend of mine from Boston and I were talking last night about sxsw- his music blog is sponsoring three stages somewhere- I'll have to find out more info!
