Isn't GBV one of your favorite bands? Most of their albums sound like they were recorded on a VHS camcorder, then transferred onto cassette...

That's an intentional artistic statement. Some guy turning up his "badass rig" up to eleven and then recording it through his camcorder Mic and clipping the crap out it is not. Not talking about you here BTW.

I am an unashamed GBV fanboy, but yes a lot of their stuff does sound like it was recorded through a telephone set up inside a toilet, and output to a reel to reel left out in the sun

The point is it isn't helpful at all in letting someone know what an amp sounds like.

i kinda agree as well. brian, your vid now has at least 56001 views, and it sounded pretty good!. but there are a lot of people out there who make youtube crap...i actually hate most of the stuff on there. it's just plain useless noodling with crappy sound that doesn't let you hear anything of what the demo'd device acutally sounds like.
