I've had something of a revelation with regards to moving large ammounts of gear around, namely 2X12 and 4X12 cabs...

big and hefty aren't they? Casters make them easier to move but don't accousticly resonate with the floor as well as the wooden slats...

The solution?

Those lil trolley type things they use to move crates around in loading bays etc.

You know the ones with 2 wheels that you tilt back and balance the object on top of?

It certainly beats carrying something over 2 feet wide and usually a foot deep and high or larger through a car park into a pub and over to the stage.

Not everyone can afford roadies, but maybe these might help?

Am I just stupid, or is this actually an ok idea?

Cabs should work fine with a cart like that.
For amps, as long as the wheels are rubber air filled not the hard type, it should be good.
The rubber tires absorb the bumps on pavement a lot better than the hard type wheels.
Vacuum tubes don't like shaking and rattling about.
