You're definately maybe on the right lines for a Noel G type sound.

Played loud, Ch1 will give you warm overdrive although Ch2 will do this more readily. This set-up will happily handle any effects you want to use with it because it can act like a classy blank canvas if that's what you want. It doesn't mask your mistakes like some mushy-sounding thing might but everything you play well sounds fantastic.

Ch1 is best for a clean rhythm sound, Ch2 will give you the warmer overdrive associated with Oasis' more rocking songs. For a lead boost you might be better using an appropriate pedal.

Use a Telecaster myself, I'm sure a Rickenbacker would sound good too and how about an Epiphone Casino?

Don't waste your money on a modelling amp - if you want to get a Vox save up for an AC30 or AC15.

I use an Orange AD30HTC with an Orange 2x12 and I'm incredibly happy with how cool they look and sound together. I'm sure you will be too and it sounds like a really good way to get near the Oasis sound you're after.

Good luck.<img src=icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle>

Hey -
I've been playing Ricks through Oranges on and off(mostly
on- I sometimes play Vox...) for almost 17 years.
I just got an AD140Custom and my Capri 360 sounds awsome.
If the AD30s sound as good as the 140s, you will never be
able to stop playing! You will loose sleep if you do.
