Orange Amps.... 2011 models.

Post by xes » Tue Dec 21, 2010 10:05 am

Hi everyone im another orange freak, as of now im saving up all my money just to buy the Thunderverb 200....the most versatile beast of an amp in the world.

Now my only query is..... Will there be any new models coming out in 2011 ?

As to my knowledge the Thunderverb series came out in 2007, so does anyone know how long Orange might take to come out with any new heads?

it will be a bummer if u buy it now and the new versions came out soon after. hope you guys can help me with any useful info.

thanks
xes

I reckon amps are one of those items that it matters not what the year of production is..a case of newer is not necessarily better..... if the one u looking at works for yr ears an you get good price on it then just buy it ...

ymmv

Yeah, +1.

Valve amps aren't much like computers and computer games that way...

Anyway, welcome xes, and sorry, AFAIK we haven't yet heard of any new soon to be classics from Orange since the last round of 'new for 2010' ones.

No idea... we'll just have to wait and see what 2011 will bring!

NAMM is usually the venue used by Orange (and others) to introduce new models. It's only a couple of months away  .

I've had a few chances to go to NAMM, but I couldn't afford it. My school gets invited every year, but it costs us like $800 for airfare/hotel and stuff. I just don't have that much money, even for something as awesome as NAMM.

I hear they're coming out with a "Not so Tiny Terror" and a "Medium Terror".

Guys... really appreciate all your replies and comments. I know what Orange has now blows me away....but just hope if there ever was to come a 3 channel Thunderverb. If tht did happen, i think there would be no amp that could compare to its versatility in the options available. well i will wait till mid 2011 before i make my purchase. :D

thanks everyone...for making me feel at home here. peace and keep rocking.... :D

Has Orange ever made a three channel? Doesn't really seem their thing.
That being said, a three channel RV100 could be cool. Straight cleans, dirty and cranked gain.

a 3 channel would make it unbeatable in comparison with mesa's, engl, marshall and the rest of the big amps out there! now we make do with a boost pedal to get that added tone, but if there was a 2 channel it would be pure tube haven! :P
