OR120 combo

Post by strangedays » Wed Oct 06, 2010 9:45 am

My OR/OT120 combo is great bit way too heavy, the amp was probably once in a head, can these be purchased so I can put it back to a head/cab combination? how much would the head casing be?

You'd really need to find someone to make it for you. Matamp may be able to help you, depending on your location.

hold on there a minute- i'm actually doing the reverse (or close to it) now with a 90s-reissue or80.

you should measure the dimensions of the faceplate (HxW) and the depth of the chassis. if you compare it to the modern oranges, it may be the same size as one of them- for example, I'm pretty sure my reissue or80 is the same dims as the current smaller heads (e.g. AD30). maybe there's an orange dealer nearby that you could check out?

anyway, if that were the case you could just buy a prefabricated head sleeve from orange or orange usa- it may or may not be cheaper for you that way.

If you want a head, get a hold of the forum member Dawnofzion, he makes heads for Orange amps and from the pics I have seen and reviews on the forum here, they are pretty darn good. Might be a cheap way of you getting what you are after
