Any VW Golf owners here?

Post by misterMagoo » Tue Sep 28, 2010 5:06 pm

I am wondering if you ever use it to transport your gear and if so, how well suited is it to fitting cabinets? Like can a 4x12 fit in there no problem?

I use to own a golf gti mk1 convertible. I know there diff now but my boot was smaller than a suit case lol.

A guy at work has an 05 gti and I'd say you'd struggle to fit a 4x12 in it

my wife has a golf, and I'm sure I could fit a 412 in it. Probably have to stand it up though. Of course, that's why the middle row of seats folds down =)

Thats what I wonder, if I fold the seats down, how much room for a cabinet would I have, and would it be enough for a 4x12? Which I don't own but you always gotta be prepared right?

You could just go outside and see if it fits. :)

This is the car I drive.

It is about the same size as a Golf (just a longer bonnet). Last week I fit 2 amp heads, 1 1x12 combo, 2 vertical 2x12s, 4 guitars, mic stand, lead bags, 2 pedal boards and a bottle of Johnny Walker Green. Oh and 2 musicians in th front.

I am sure you could handle a 4x12 :lol:

You should just trade in your VW and get a Truck-Boat-Truck.

Or one of those El Camino pick up cars. Maybe this guy will negotiate. 87 was a bad year.

i have an 08 city golf that i use to move stuff in all the time. you'd be amazed how much stuff you could get in there. i'm fairly certain that you could get a 412 in there with the seats down. lots of room. i can get my TT, board, avatar 112 electric and acoustic guitar all in the trunk without putting down the seats and taking the cover off - and there's lots of holes for more stuff like mics, cables, etc.

Parker Nitefly SA -> TC PolyTune -> OLER Box ->Timmy -> MP SHOD -> Eventide TimeFactor/e3 -> Orange TT -> Avatar 112 (Weber 1225)

Are you considering buying a Golf or a 4x12 cab? If it's the car, make the seller earn the sale by proving to you that a 4x12 will fit :D ! Otherwise, invest in a tape measure :lol: .
