HELP: ORANGE PPC412 CAB V30S???

Does anybody know what types of speakers the reissue PPC412s are fitted with? I always thought that Vintage 30s was the norm but I just ordered a cab from an out of state store and the guy told me that the cab was loaded with G12-75s. What the heck? Please help!!

yeah i have the V30's it's rated 120 WATTS, sounds awesome.he could have swapped the speakers.which would be good for him, bad for you.G12-75 don't sound that great to me.if it has G12-75 it should be rated 280or300WATTS.

Hold on, The Celestion Vintage 30s are infact 60W speakers so your cab should be rated at 240 W.

And it might be that some of the old Oranges had G12-75W speakers. ...? How old is that 4x12? Maybe its an original.

The reissue cabs have Vintage 30's. If it doesn't have them, someone's done a swap.

Vintage 30 is now listed at 60 watts. I had seen them listed at up to 75 watts at one time but 60 comes from Celestion's website. They're a great speaker IMHO. Love 'em.

my V30 loaded ppc412 says 120 watts on the back, but it is actually 240 watts. i was told that whoever's job it was to write the serial numbers and other info on the back of the cabs didn't know that V30s were actually 60 watt speakers, and so a lot of the reissue 4x12s are labeled wrong at 120 watts.

the 240 watts makes more sense.the last 2 orange cabs i looked at have had a 120 watts written on the back.should have used my brain, instead of my eyes.
