I have tried it and it's not even close as far as depth of tone and bottom end as compared to the 1x12 TT

I haven't heard the AD5 though.

I happen to think the TT 1x12 combo sounds better than the head with the 1x12 orange closed back cab. That's just my opinion though. It just sounds more full to me.

The 1x10 sounds like a 1x10 if you know what I mean. I think the TT is "too much amp" for the 1x10. hopefully someone with a better description will chime in for you.

Thanks man! I'm just curious, since eg with the ad15, there was the 12 and the 10 and lots of guys prefered the 10! (it was a jensen alnico though...) so I'm wondering with a better speaker... also the smaller size would be sweet too!

That can be attributed to the speaker difference. The TT 1x12 combo has a g12h30 in it. The PPC112 cab is loaded with a vintage 30. The g12h30 has much a warmer and more prominent bass response, and doesn't have the spikey upper midrange of the v30.
