I think I want this guitar: Cheap sleeper deal?
Yup, I know, it's not a Fender, it's not a fancy guitar, etc.
It's $235 shipped. Even if I replaced the neck from Warmoth, I'd still be under the price of a Jazzy.

If you're gassing for a jazzmaster the p90s may not deliver, but should be pretty close. That guitar is cheap as heck and seems decent, but when you get it you may just start GASing for a real jazzy

Haha, I know, I know. I know this will offend real Jazz fans. I actually have wanted a P90 guitar for a while, and they look just a little strange in strats (and I've done that already), but in this body I think they look perfect, and I'd like to try this kind of vibrato bridge out too.

I want a p90 guitar too! I just bought 2 p90s and am gonna get a custom pickguard made for my Gibson Sonex 180 Deluxe, then put it all together. I agree that the jazzmaster look definitely helps the p90s fit in with the guitar.
Seems like you've made up your mind already

I like the looks of the XV-585 for P-90s, and the XV-580 looks pretty sweet too. I've never got my hands on a Xaviere, so you can be the canary in the coal mine and let us know if they're any good.

Haha, I can help with our general sycronicity when it comes to these guitars. It'll be a while till I get the money in for it though, things are slow these days, and the bills never quit. Oh the joy.
Re: I think I want this guitar: Cheap sleeper deal?
I checked some of their reviews and found that people seem to really like them. For that price it's probably worth a chance.

That's exactly what got me thinking about this in the first place. They can't all be crappy, right?JRogero wrote:I checked some of their reviews and found that people seem to really like them. For that price it's probably worth a chance.

Did Mark check these out? I've also read they have improved a fair amount over their lifespan. I'll have to ask Mark.Wired wrote:if Mark still came around I'm sure he could give you a review.
