Orange Amps Forum

For a lot of the songs I'm playing with my band I use stereo delay and chorus. With one stereo out going to my AD30TC and the other going to an old (bought it 15 years ago for $200) 50 watt Crate combo with 10" speakers. Someday when I have more funds I'd like to get a better amp to pair with the AD30.

I was thinking either a Fender Deluxe Reverb, an Vox AC30, or maybe a ThunderVerb. The Fender because it gives me a different tool set than the AD30 and I love the clean Fender tone (The majority of our stereo tunes are clean). The AC30 because it seems like a great choice to pair with the AD30 since it's similar yet voiced differently, and the ThunderVerb because it's an Orange.

Anyone have any other suggestions or thoughts on my wishlist?

I loved my AC30 working in stereo with the AD30. Its a really full, really balanced mix.

I betcha the Fender Deluxe or the Bassman would work great too

As per the above... something brighter and cleaner.

It pairs well with a Matamp GT120 or a Sunn Sceptre from my experience. Not so much with my JCM800.

another vote for AC30 here. I used to have an AC30 CC and run it for a while with my AD30R - great in my view.

Some of the Fenders would probably work well to I would think.

I pair it with a DR - Pure Awesomness. I swapped out the speaker however for an eminence little texas and its now clearer and has more clean headroom (same headroom as the ad30 ) so thats part of it.
