Nothing can be taken for granted. Argentina probably look the most convincing side, but there are no weak teams - look at Switzerland and Serbia. And now New Zealand.

Not impossible that Germany, Spain, France, England and Italy and all the African nations could all go out at the group stage.

Sadly England look technically one of the worst teams in the cup :( . You can't win if you don't have the ball. BUT, on paper the England team should be semi-finalists. A good performance against Slovenia and we're back on track. :)

I think the US will go to the next round not to sure beyond that and I have to agree that this year is South America's cup. That said the Netherlands are a huge threat and don't write Germany or Italy out just yet. Lots of talent on both teams.

Can I just remind you that Germany have to beat a good side to even qualify for the next stages, and just lost to Serbia?

And who just tipped Italy?

I'll give you a thousand Euros if Germany or Paraguay wins the whole tournament! Brazil or Argentina!

The Brasil/ Ivory Coast match was a great match apart from the bad acting and fighting...

1000bucks? the next orange is in sight :D
Germany played with 10 guys since this ridiculous ref gave Klose 2 times yellow for nothing. I hate most of the refs this year. The match against Ghana they'll have Cacao as the center player, he's awesome

How about Portugal? Granted they were playing a team that really has no business playing at this level but still what a blow out fun to watch if you like Portugal not so fun if you like NKorea.

doesnt hurt that they're orange
If England go out (which is looking more likely by the minute with conflicting press confrences) ill be backing Netherlands, they seem to be a good honest footballing team and yes playing in orange does up them a bit on coolness.

also anyone else think the NKorens will be safe when they get home after todays hammering?

Im sure their ministry of information will tell the people that they defeated all the capitalist pigs that were placed against them in the competition and are now the world cup champions LOL. Either that or they will be arrested on arrival and who knows what else.
