After much faffing my band's finally sorted out our myspace and added a new track if anyone's interested in giving it a listen. Totally appreciate it won't be everyone's cup of tea though.

Definitely not what I'm really into, but you guys are good. I used to listen to stuff like you guys (Coalesce etc) when I was younger so I can appreciate it.

Cheers guys.

Anyone interested in the gear used, see my sig. For bass gear I believe Smalls uses an Acoustics 301 18" reflex cab and an Acoustics 120 head (I think!). I can't remember the model of the Gibson bass he uses, but he puts it through an old DOD fuzz box.

Any chance of some info on the production? Mic'ing technique etc. (if you know!). The guitars sound great.

Cheers. Think Sam just used SM58s. I'm sure I have a photo of the cab's mic'ed up. I'll have a look tomorrow for it. I know he added hardly anything on when mixing and stuff as we were more than happy with the sound.

yeah, i did rough mixes a while back and only had to cut minor bass frequencies out of guitars. I used a 57 on the cab. The mixes were a little dark, but mastering will take care of that as long as everything is on the same sonic field.

Cheers everyone for the positive words.

Must remember to look for the photos tonight with my cab mic'ed up! This is more of a reminder for myself here!

We've toyed with the idea of putting The Tone Rangers down the side of our van for a laugh!!

I'd lvoe to get out to Baltimore, let alone the States to tour a bit. Australia has been mentioned a few times, purely because we've got a load of mates in the main places we'd play. Who knows what the future holds!

And that pic:

Looks more like 57s than 58s.
