Matamp dilemma update
Sooo, following the dilemma I had about the Matamp sounding a bit off and all your suggestions pointing to the speakers I went to practice tonight and thought I'd try running the head through a different cab if they had one, and there, sat in the corner, was one of THOSE...
I looked at it, it looked at me, I looked at it a bit more, then I thought well, nobody will find out so I plugged the Matamp into the dark black object in the corner.
Flippin' 'eck, it was brilliant, the Matamp was reborn, it sounded fantastic. It was deep, warm and rounded, the Custom came alive.
So there it is, I'm going to buy one, one of THOSE... and run the Matamp though it.
Oh the shame

Haha, this reminded me of a conversation I was having with a friend over a curry last week when he was trying to describe a film to me:blackcloud45 wrote:You know, THEY make THOSE Glad to hear you were able to salvage your amp!
You know, the film with girl in it, with the guy. You know the one, the girl's from that other thing. You have to know the one, she's blonde...
Needless to say, he got a bit of grief for that description!

Re: Matamp dilemma update
Well, it's nice that something made THOSE speakers sound good. I know THOSE heads they make generally don't!

Re: Matamp dilemma update
Well the head didn't sound great with my speakers, so hats off to THOSE speakers. And THAT cab had castors, which makes MY back very happy

Re: Matamp dilemma update
Ah gotcha. Hey, if it sounds great and helps save the Matamp, then by all means go for it. Ain't no thang!
