I used to have more Orange stuff. Now I just have a PPC412 (black), and a Micro Crush.

Hard to focus on how great the amp sounds when all you can think about is rearranging that guy's face.

Another video with no stupid faces this time! :mrgreen:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qA5-lFHK ... re=related" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Also one of it with a tele/strat (complete with faces again...) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1nmRJcQ3 ... re=related" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

It's got my attention. Considering a fairly low power amp and this, a Dr Z Maz 18, Mesa Transatlantic 15 and Fender DRRI are on the list

Yeah, and like lildavid said, it's not hard to get a semi to sustain like that. That guys face is painful to watch. SRV he AIN'T.

That's a cool little combo, I think it sounds very interesting, very unique. I'd love one. Too bad they're $1400, that's out of my price range (but not expensive, lest Greg come and smite me with the rod of his mouth :cry: :wink: )

If you can't get sustain being that close to the amp with a semi-hollow body, you have issues. Good sounding amp though. They would do better with strictly audio clips.

I'm seriously tempted. I had money set aside for an acoustic but spent way less than I was anticipating so am thinking as soon as my PRS arrives by shipment, I may pull the trigger... :D

Yeah, I hear ya, I've been thinking about this little amp a lot since I heard the demos. It sounds a whole heck of a lot better than I ever thought a 1x10" combo could be. I really dig the simplicity. Makes me wonder if I shouldn't just build something with a 2xel84 tube setup into a 1x10" red fang and save $700. :?

Yeah I'm with you Neil, I'm amazed at the sound from a 1x10... although I am a fan of EL84 amps anyway.
AD15 and TT are back in UK in storage for now so looking for something a little different here stateside (and Orange is way more expensive here than it is in the UK, and the American brands are way cheaper!)

Yeah, but that $1400 is pretty steep if you wanted a smaller TT combo. Hmm. There's always the Weber Smokin' Joe II, a 2xEL84 amp. I'm tempted to look into that one.

The head is $1100, which is a good price, IMO. That's what the Maz-18 runs (non-reverb). Considering all the hands-on labor that will go into the head, it's a great value.
