Trades for my Telecaster?! Epi Sheraton? Thoughts?

So I posted up my tele on Harmony Central (I know, right?), and I've gotten a bunch of trade offers.

One of them is for a Epiphone Sheraton, black, and it's making me wonder if that isn't a cool trade. My tele is a sweet piece of work, but I'm wondering if that wouldn't be a good idea to make it a bit more sellable, or at least get a sweet semi-hollow guitar.

Honestly, I'm okay letting it go, because it just sits there. I'm looking for cash, but I'm just tickled by interesting trades, and it seems like it might make more sense to get things to sell that would sell better than my tele. Again just checking options, etc.

Personally I like semi's so might be inclined to do the trade.

I guess you could always build another tele in the future if you miss it too much, building a semi probably isn't going to be practical.

Money-wise, I think you're probably right there Neil.

The Sheraton might not be as nice a guitar, but it's got a name on the headstock which sells. Oler isn't quite there yet... maybe you should shift the R above the E and pretend you're a Spanish company...

didnt you pick up that ibanez artcore in the past?... i know its not identical to the epi.. but it'll give some idea towards the whole 'semi' thing...

as others have said, the name on the headstock will help sell the guitar...

I'd keep the tele... I love my tele and would hate to part with it... I'd regret it if it was me.

I did like the Ibanez, it was a very interesting sound. I've got 19 watchers, I think I'll let the auction play out and do trades as a plan b.

Though a Sheraton with some nice humbuckers could have me quite curious... Hmmm.

if the sheraton has some upgrades (pickups, tuners, nut that type of stuff) then it might be worth it. if its completely stock, it might need too much cash for it to be really good. some stock sherrys don't need anything though. they're inconsistent.
