Ok so I have a Rockerverb 50 and I got it the summer of 07' and wanna replace the tubes. Is there a way to find out the bias number (if that how you say it) so I don't have a take it in a shop to bias the new tubes. I want to do this because I could use the old tubes as a spare for the road.
Note nothing is wrong with my tubes, I just am letting my old bandmate use my amp in his studio and he said he would go in half on new tubes.
Thanks
Jody Lee

Re: Question about new tubes.
Bias "number" is a bit of a crock, as with any new tubes you'll want to have your amp biased. You could do it yourself, or have a tech do it, but for legal reasons stemming from Orange not wanting you to get shocked I will definitely not tell you that I'd be happy to help you figure out how to measure the bias on your own.
Replacing tubes shouldn't take a ton of time, etc, and I'd see if I couldn't find a tech who would be into helping you do it on the cheap and EZ.

Re: Question about new tubes.
As for tubes... most likely just the standard 6V6's. Isn't that the only tubes to go in it?
music life has been great. always in nashville and hanging out with awesome bands all the time. God is good.
here is my latest collection of guitars.

Those TV Yellow Gibsons are giving me GAS. Is that a P-94 in the neck on the singlecut?
One point about tubes - there are some advantages to rated tubes (like Groove Tubes). If you have your amp biased to a specific tube type and rating from GT, you can replace tubes (with the exact type and rating) on the road without having to re-bias the amp. This is the reason that Groove Tubes rates their tubes.
