The only ones I know of off the top of my head are The Music, Oasis, Ive seen Tony Iommi use them in videos(I know he uses Laney now though...silly sod), and I heard mutterings that Jimmy Page has used them before as well. Oh, and that lil thing between videos and adverts on VH-1 classic has an orange head and cab in it, Les Paul there too. I don't think VH-1 classic thing counts as an artist though lol

I guess I'm just curious as so many artists seem to be caught up in the big-name elitism of having Marshalls or Mesas, not that they're bad, I just don't get why people hype them so when Orange gets relatively little publicity and, to my ears, is a better sounding amp.

I saw The Hellacopters live, and the whole stage was filled with em!!!
Orange as far as the eye could see. Two guitar stacks and one for the bassplayer. That was when I got hooked on Orange.

And about half a year or so I saw Queens Of The Stone Age. They had one. What an amazing gig. Probably the best band in the world.

Then there is an all-girls garagerock band called Thee Ultra Bimboos, The bass player has used one for probably over ten years now.

And I dont quite remember but there is a slight chanse that The Soundtracks Of Our Lives had one as well. It was such a wild and crazy gig that I can´t really recall. You should check out the scandinavian garage/action-rock scene. There´s lots of them.

Anyone else got any input on the issue...

One of the guitar players from Collective Soul uses an orange stack.

Also the guitarist of Jimmy Eat World uses an orange head.

I was wondering does "The Music" actually use Orange gear? I recently saw the lads over here in the states and the stage was packed with a Vox AC30 and several Fender amps.

As for other artists, the Pretenders use Orange equipment. Speaking of VH1 a band called Flickerstick which was on the show "Bands on the Run" play Orange gear. I think Weezer's bass player use to play an old Orange guitar head, I could be wrong though. There's a band from Leeds(the name escapes me right now) that rocks out with Orange. Of course let's not forget that my band uses Orange gear as well, but only on the soothing grooves of the most important instrument, the bass! haha

I saw a kid (probably 8 years old) playing through an orange halfstack on the disney channel.

this shows that EVERYONE is using orange.

also, if you search past threads you will probably find this topic with a huge list of bands that use or have used orange amps.

1994 Fender Jaguar (Seymour Duncan Humbuckers, Gibson Nashville Bridge)

And yeah I'm pretty sure the music use Orange amps, In the video for one of their songs, I forget which, they're playing live with a big ol' Orange stack behind em.

Oh and the Jimmy Page one was a 200 watt Orange Matamp thing he had custom built.

The Supersuckers thank Orange Amplification in the liner notes of their new disc.

On the DVD that comes with the CD, one of The Datsuns' guitar players uses an Orange 4X12 with a Marshall head.

Funny enough, the "Rock" band "The Calling" and their psuedo-rock posing use an AD30 combo.

When I saw the Rolling Stones in January, the opener, Ryan Adams band, were using some Orange gear. The lead guitarist was playing through an AD-30tc and 4x12 and the keyboard player was using a combo to run his wurlitzer through. I also just saw Supergrass and the guitar player was using an AD-30 and 2x12.

In one of the newer U2 videos ("Walk On", I think), Edge is playing what looks like an AD30r. Pretty clearly visible on a number of shots.

But in the end, who cares who plays what??! You gotta find your own signature tone that's all you and sounds great. If the Beatles did'nt play Vox would we all lust after an AC-30? Of Course, It sounds GREAT! So if I have to look like I'm trying to be from 'The Calling', then fine. I'll take that heat and play on... the bumpy tubey tone will play on...

true...find your sound. I should have said "all the people I've seen using Orange gear had fantastic tone!"
