Hey Everyone,
I know The Burning Brides' guitar player Dimitri Coats uses an Orange head, two Marshall cabs, and a Hiwatt Head. He uses Univox guitars too. This all sounds good but the full orange stack would be better. Speaking of Orange stacks; The lead-singer of The Ditillers was using an Orange head and cab when I saw them. Besides my band Thats all I can think of right now. But alot of bands from the 1970's use Orange.

A couple of nights ago I was watching a Connan re-run and a group from Liverpool called "The Coral" were on. Their one guitar player was using either a RI AD30 or AD140 w/an Orange 4x12 cab. Needless to say they sounded great, it must have been the Orange....

Snah, guitarist in Motorpsycho uses two Orange Or120 heads, on 4x12 cab. and a 2x12 cab. Now he uses one of the Or heads and the 2x12 cab.
with a vox ac30 and a fender super reverb.

the cooper temple clause use orange amps as well, but you can't really hear the sound of the amp because of the heavy distorsion

I know that The Burning Brides use them, and The Mars Volta.
Burning Brides is an indie darling at the moment - incorporating elements of old soCal hippy rock like Blue Cheer, Pet Sounds era Beach Boys, and grit from 70s pre-punk bands like The Stooges and Wire.

a random song of theirs: http://www.insound.com/mp3/download.cfm?mp3id=1547

Mars Volta is ex-At The Drive In members, and sounds like Santana jamming with Zep, while Jello Biafra freaks out on the mic.
Flea handles bass duties with them as well.

I saw The Mars Volta 2 nights ago...apart from musically being the most life-changing gig i've ever been to, the two AD140's Omar was using sounded part of the best i've ever heard a live guitar setup to sound (with the possible exception of Pink Floyd's Dave Gilmour). It was nothing short of phenomenal. You've got to love Orange amps.

Anyone looking to expand their musical mind shoudl check out The Mars Volta asap...

Omar...

But I'd bet anything that he'll start using different amps soon, he changes his equipment as much as I do.

Hi everyone,

nice to see the forum is back. Did some gigs in the meantime and again I have to say what a rush I'm getting out of playing Orange!!
The 4x12 cab is really loud and full of REAL sound!! I'm sure that it is only a matter of time before the next one will be ordered.
ORANGE DOES MAKE A DIFFERENCE!!!! Keep rockin'!

Cheers,

QUOTATION.

I also believe the Donna's use orange Amplification.
I have also seen more than a couple bands in Cleveland playing out with Orange. The last show I saw a guy playing with one of the combos...prob the 30 and it sounded wonderful for his lead.
